McLane took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Wednesday. They took down Sanger 59-44.

McLane got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Mahavong-Garcia out in front who shot 60% from the field to rack up 16 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Mahavong-Garcia a new career-high in boards (four). Keyvon Burcher was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 13 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Madera not only won last Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 (when they won 76-32). They took their contest with ease, bagging a 74-38 win over Central.

Madera's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for McLane, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
