Baseball Recap: Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs vs. Willowbrook Warriors
Berwyn/Cicero Morton extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-21 in the process. They lost 9-2 to the Willowbrook Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-4 loss on Tuesday.
Berwyn/Cicero Morton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johangel Castrillo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. James Richmond also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
As for Willowbrook, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

At the plate, Sam Marrese was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Charlie Siegler, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berwyn/Cicero Morton will host York at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Willowbrook, they will face off against Lyons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
