Softball Recap: Logansport Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Logansport, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on the Caddo Magnet Mustangs with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Horton, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Logansport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caddo Magnet only posted a batting average of .286.

Logansport has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Caddo Magnet, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-14.

Coming up, Logansport will face off against Ebarb at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Caddo Magnet, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-6 defeat against Calvin on the 11th.
