Baseball Game Preview: East Bridgewater Vikings vs. Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders

The East Bridgewater Vikings will face off against the Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Bridgewater 3.2, Martha's Vineyard Regional 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

East Bridgewater is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Apponequet Regional by a score of 9-5 on Friday. The game was the first time the Vikings have beaten the Lakers on their field since June 2, 2016.

Meanwhile, Martha's Vineyard Regional didn't have quite enough to beat Scituate on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Vineyarders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Bridgewater is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Martha's Vineyard Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went East Bridgewater's way against Martha's Vineyard Regional in their previous matchup back in June of 2019, as East Bridgewater made off with a 7-0 win.
