Baseball Recap: Apex Sets Scoring Season-High Against Green Level

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Apex). They came out on top against the Green Level Gators by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won six in a row.

JUSTIN DAVIS looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Apex let CONNOR MORRISEY and ADRIAN GONZALEZ run wild. MORRISEY scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while GONZALEZ scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave GONZALEZ a new career-high. COLESON PARTEL also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The win got Apex back to even at 2-2. As for Green Level, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Apex wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Green Level on the 7th. As for Green Level, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Athens Drive on the 6th.
