Soccer Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy entered their matchup against Moreau Catholic on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Kennedy Titans fell just short of the Moreau Catholic Mariners by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

Kennedy is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6-3. As for Moreau Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-2 record this season.

Coming up, Kennedy will challenge Mt. Eden at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Eden will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kennedy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Moreau Catholic, they will welcome Newark Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Moreau Catholic's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
