Luke Sandor looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
On the hitting side, AJ Diaddezio was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Tyler Timdall, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Pope John Paul II kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norristown didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Upper Perkiomen was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Upper Merion Area by a score of 3-2.
Upper Perkiomen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Godshall, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Godshall's first of the season.
Pope John Paul II pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Upper Perkiomen, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
