It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Whitney had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Orangefield Bobcats. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bobcats on Friday, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

Whitney has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Orangefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-8.

Coming up, Whitney will face off against Huntington on Saturday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Orangefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
