Recap: Skyline Raiders vs. Waxahachie Indians
The Skyline Raiders fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Waxahachie Indians on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Skyline has suffered yet this season.
When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, one person who can't be blamed is Naiya Carney. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Khalaizah Martin, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Skyline has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. As for Waxahachie, their win bumped their record up to 17-12.
