Basketball Recap: Lake Central Indians vs. Harrison Raiders
Lake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost to the Harrison Raiders on the road by a 73-59 margin. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Central lost, don't look at Noah Enyeart. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 16 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Jakob Billmeyer was another key player, putting up six points.
Leading Harrison to victory were Reid Smith and Malachi King. Smith made all 6 shots he took from beyond the arc to post 28 points and three steals, while King went 9 of 17 on his way to 19 points along with five assists and five boards. King's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Slate, who posted five points.

Lake Central will square off against Portage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Portage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for Harrison, they will face off against Kokomo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
