Basketball Recap: Rim of the World Comes Up Short

Rim of the World lost against Notre Dame back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rim of the World Fighting Scots might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Notre Dame Titans an easy 65-40 victory. The defeat leaves the Fighting Scots without a win on the season.

Notre Dame's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxon Coduti led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Coduti is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Broughton, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Rim of the World's record now sits at 0-12. As for Notre Dame, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Rim of the World will take on Corona in a tournament on Friday. Corona will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Rim of the World surely won't give up without a fight. Notre Dame and Valley View will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
