Soccer Recap: Waterford Starts Season with Win Against Wendover

Waterford had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Wendover Wildcats get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Waterford's offense was hitting Wendover from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Aaron Cao led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Wendover is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Waterford has already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Desert Hills on the 14th. As for Wendover, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Telos at 4:00 p.m. The game will give Wendover their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
