Basketball Recap: Doniphan West Comes Up Short

Doniphan West lost against Clifton-Clyde back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Doniphan West Mustangs took a 55-40 bruising from the Clifton-Clyde Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Eagles are ranked 126th).

Doniphan West's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Clifton-Clyde, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hanover the next time they take the court. Clifton-Clyde will host Hanover on Tuesday, while Doniphan West will head out to face them on February 14th.
