Basketball Recap: Keene Central Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Keene Central's game back in December of 2024 was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lake Placid Bombers 32-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Beavers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lake Placid still got an impressive performance from Anisa Cecunjanin, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ella Moodey, who put up eight points.

Keene Central's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1. As for Lake Placid, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Keene Central will take on Bolton Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Placid, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Johnsburg Central at 6:30 p.m.
