Volleyball Recap: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. South Granville Vikings
Durham School of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Granville Vikings, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 3-1.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-19.
Kelci Lucas paced Durham School of the Arts' offense, picking up four kills. Lucas got some help from Tessa Nayo and her six assists. Finally, Camren Pierce kept Durham School of the Arts' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
South Granville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaytlyn Dickerson out in front who had seven digs and five aces. That's the most aces Dickerson has posted over her last seven games. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Aiken, who had 11 digs and three aces.
