Preview: Columbia Wildcats vs. Vallivue Falcons
After seven games on the road, Columbia is heading back home. They will take on the Vallivue Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 66 points the game before, Columbia were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 43-23 defeat at the hands of Ridgevue. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Columbia has scored all season.
Vallivue suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 72-26 loss at the hands of Bishop Kelly. Vallivue was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-21.
Columbia has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Vallivue, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.
Everything came up roses for Columbia against Vallivue when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 56-26 victory. Will Columbia repeat their success, or does Vallivue have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
