Tipton extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 4-6. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cole Camp Blue Birds. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 11-6 to the Blue Birds when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Emilyn Kuttenkuler stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Crane, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
As for Cole Camp, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games.
On Cole Camp's side, Madilynn Ogle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks. Ogle has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cole Camp let Kate Harrison and Riley Raetz run wild. Harrison got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Raetz went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Leah Lemens, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
Coming up, Tipton is taking a road trip to challenge La Monte at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cole Camp, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
