Volleyball Game Preview: North Kansas City Hornets vs. Central Indians

The North Kansas City Hornets will challenge the Central Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Kansas City is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

North Kansas City lost 3-0 to Rockhurst on Tuesday.

While North Kansas City was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Rockhurst's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-8, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Central didn't have quite enough to beat Park Hill on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-15 in the first set.

Central took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13.

North Kansas City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

North Kansas City was able to grind out a solid win over Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
