Recap: Needville Bluejays vs. Navasota Rattlers
It was a good run, but the Needville Bluejays unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Navasota by a score of 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Needville has suffered yet this season.
Needville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bohdan Zeitz, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Zeitz has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Anderson, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds and two blocks.
Needville's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Navasota, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Royal the next time they take the court. Navasota will head out to face Royal at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Needville will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
