Basketball Recap: Archbishop Bergan Skates Past Lincoln Lutheran with Ease

Archbishop Bergan won the last time they faced Lincoln Lutheran and things went their way on Thursday too. The Archbishop Bergan Knights took their contest with ease, bagging a 55-28 victory over the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors. With the Knights ahead 35-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Madison Schmidt had a dynamite game for Archbishop Bergan, going 8 of 14 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Tessa Powers, who posted eight points and five steals.

With the win, Archbishop Bergan broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9. As for Lincoln Lutheran, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Archbishop Bergan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-17 loss against Scotus on the 24th. Lincoln Lutheran has also already played their next contest, a 53-24 defeat against Bishop Neumann on the 24th.
