Basketball Recap: 12 Straight Home Victories for Houston

On Tuesday, Houston faced Southwind in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Houston Mustangs secured a 56-50 W over the Southwind Jaguars. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 49-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kristopher Carrol, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Ronald Towns was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 12 points in addition to five assists and five boards.
