Basketball Recap: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Comes Up Short

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy fought the good fight in their overtime match against Christchurch School on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 46-36 to the Christchurch School Seahorses. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

It was another big night for Alexis Foster, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals for Christchurch School. Those 20 points gave Foster a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaclyn Callis, who posted nine points and three blocks.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Christchurch School, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy has already played their next game (against Cape Henry Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Christchurch School will face off against St. Margaret's at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
