Baseball Recap: Athens Beats Prentice for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Athens waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They beat the Prentice Buccaneers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-1. The Bluejays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Athens' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Prentice, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
