While Central Mountain's win against Punxsutawney wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Central Mountain pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Shamokin Area's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Central Mountain has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Shamokin Area, though, as they've been averaging only 3 strikeouts. Will Central Mountain keep running through batters, or will the Indians buck the trend?
Everything went Central Mountain's way against Shamokin Area in their previous meeting back in April, as Central Mountain made off with a 13-2 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
