Basketball Recap: Ej Park Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Chico ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past the Enterprise Hornets with a 65-59 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-64 back in January.

Chico's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ej Park, who on his way to 21 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Park a new career-high in points. Davis Parent was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Enterprise's loss came despite strong showings from Timothy Scheel and Ja'Kye Rawls. Scheel en route to 14 points and seven boards, while Rawls posted 19 points. Rawls continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Deshawn Townsend also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Chico's record now sits at 14-12. As for Enterprise, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Enterprise beat Chico by a score of 51-43 on Friday.
