If Union was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of East Forest last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights/Damsels lost 3-0 to the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights/Damsels in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost eight in a row.

While Union was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Allegheny-Clarion Valley's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.

Brooke Hileman paced Union's offense, picking up four kills. Hileman got some help from Riley Kriebel and her 12 assists. Lillian Hayden controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madalyn Dehart, who had 13 kills and four blocks.
