Volleyball Recap: Orono Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kennedy on Tuesday, Orono came back down to earth. The Spartans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson Jaguars on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost four in a row.

Orono's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Jefferson, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orono will host Big Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Marshall at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
