Baseball Recap: Stanberry Bulldogs vs. Albany Warriors
Stanberry extended their losing streak to 15 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-17. They came up short against the Albany Warriors, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 back in April.
As for Albany, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games.
For Albany's part, they got a great performance from William Fish as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Fish has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Daulton Worrell was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most triples he has posted since back in April of 2025. Barrett Worrell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
As of now, neither Stanberry nor Albany have any future games scheduled.
