Recap: Timberlake Christian Tornadoes vs. Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors
The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes lost against the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Timberlake Christian fell 39-30 to Southwest Virginia Academy. Timberlake Christian has not had much luck with Southwest Virginia Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Timberlake Christian still got an impressive performance from Caelyn Davis, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Davis continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Emma Luther was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 19 rebounds.
Timberlake Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southwest Virginia Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timberlake Christian will challenge New Covenant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in New Covenant's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Timberlake Christian has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Southwest Virginia Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Christian Heritage Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st.
