Preview: Lucas Cubs vs. Central Christian Comets
After four games on the road, Lucas is heading back home. They will take on the Central Christian Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Lucas came up short against Colonel Crawford and fell 43-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lucas has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Central Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Oberlin by a score of 44-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Central Christian has suffered yet this season.
Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Central Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Lucas strolled past Central Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 57-39. Will Lucas repeat their success, or does Central Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
