Basketball Recap: Emma Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bradshaw Mountain over Lee Williams

Bradshaw Mountain was the 46-29 winner over Lee Williams when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bradshaw Mountain Bears took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lee Williams Volunteers.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Johnson, who posted 18 points. That's the most points Johnson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalli Smith, who put up eight points.

Even though they lost, Bradshaw Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Lee Williams got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Baliegh Crook out in front who went 5-for-11 to rack up 19 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Linaea Smalley, who went 6-for-7 en route to 15 points.

Bradshaw Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Lee Williams, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-17.

As of now, neither Bradshaw Mountain nor Lee Williams have any future games scheduled.
