Football Recap: McDonough Find Success + How To Watch

McDonough took a 28-point loss the last time they faced off against Union Grove, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warhawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wolverines 16-14. This was payback for the Warhawks, who suffered a 35-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Drayden Gibbs was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 117 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 176 yards and one TD.

When it comes to explaining why Union Grove lost on Friday, don't look at Avery Wright. Despite the final result, he rushed for 132 yards and one touchdown. The Wolverines also got help from Justin Simmons, who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.
