Basketball Recap: Manor's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Manor lost against Churchland back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Manor Mustangs took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Churchland Truckers. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Truckers are ranked 42nd).

With the loss, Manor broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-10. As for Churchland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Manor has already played their next contest (against Tallwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Churchland will square off against Norcom at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Churchland's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Norcom has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
