Volleyball Recap: Crislyn Birge Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Pleasant Home + How To Watch

Opp's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Pleasant Home Eagles 3-0. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-19.

Opp's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Crislyn Birge led the charge by getting five digs and three aces. That's the most aces Birge has posted since September 2nd. The team also got some help courtesy of Shayna Wiggins, who had four aces and three blocks.

They weren't the only good servers: Opp was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. They are 10-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Opp now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Pleasant Home, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Coming up, Opp will welcome Geneva at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pleasant Home, they will head out to face off against Kinston at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
