Avon Park lost to Okeechobee back in February of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Red Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brahmans, sneaking past 3-2.

Jace Jackson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Avon Park's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Parker Pritchett, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Jace King also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Avon Park is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Okeechobee, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avon Park will challenge Fort Meade at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Okeechobee, they will take on LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
