Basketball Recap: Grace Christian School Falls to Miller School of Albemarle in First Game of Season

Grace Christian School kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks 84-40. The Kings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mavericks from their previous meeting back in February.

Quimar Crittenden had a dynamite game For Miller School of Albemarle., going 10-for-11 on his way to 22 points. Crittenden has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 56% every time he's hit the court this season. Gabe D'Alessandro was another key player, shooting 46% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

The win was the sixth in a row (dating back to last season) for Miller School of Albemarle, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Grace Christian School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richmond Christian at 5:45 p.m. on December 4. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they will face off against Highland at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
