Football Game Preview: Ford Panthers vs. Kemp Yellowjackets

The Ford Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Kemp Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ford is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They came up short against Canton on Friday, falling 35-10. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Ford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Devon Williams picked up 107 receiving yards and one score.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Yellowjackets on Friday. Kemp was dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of Ferris.

Kemp didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zaki Brown and Colton Turner.

Ford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Kemp, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything came up roses for Ford against Kemp when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
