Baseball Recap: Bountiful Takes a Loss

The matchup between Bountiful and Clearfield on Monday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The RedHawks fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 12-10. The RedHawks haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jackson Kyhl was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jacob Stapley, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Bountiful's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Clearfield, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

While Bountiful had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
