Softball Recap: Maynard's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Maynard hadn't done well against Corning recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Maynard Tigers walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Corning Bobcats. The Tigers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Maynard's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Corning, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. One thing working in Maynard's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Corning, they are taking a road trip to take on Piggott at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Corning has given up an average of 18.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
