Baseball Recap: Moriah Takes a Loss

Moriah lost against Saranac back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings lost 16-6 to the Spartans.

Joey Kazlo was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Joe Pelkey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Moriah's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Saranac, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Moriah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saranac, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on AuSable Valley at 4:30 p.m. on the 30th. The Spartans are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
