Football Recap: Chad Davidson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Collinsville over Callisburg + How To Watch

Collinsville was the 28-14 winner over Callisburg when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates took a hard 41-27 fall against the Wildcats on Friday. The loss put an end to the Pirates' undefeated start to the season.

Collinsville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chad Davidson, who picked up 241 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Davidson showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 55 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Paxton Davidson, who threw for 239 yards and two TDs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Collinsville fell to 2-1. As for Callisburg, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Collinsville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 42-14 victory against Wolfe City on the 19th. As for Callisburg, they have also already played their next game, a 47-35 defeat against Boyd on the 19th.
