Adena extended their postseason success on Thursday against Union Local. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jets. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-17, 22-25, 25-16.
Leading Adena to victory were Kimmy Dalton and Kortney Sowers. Dalton had 27 digs and one assist, while Sowers had 16 digs and two aces. Dalton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.
Despite the loss, Union Local still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Burley, who had 12 digs and two aces.
Adena's victory bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Union Local, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-7.
Looking ahead, Adena will square off against New Lexington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Union Local does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
