Volleyball Recap: Charleston Catholic Beats Roane County for Their Third Straight Win

Charleston Catholic waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Roane County Raiders by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Irish also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Charleston Catholic was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11.

Ilyauna Evans paced Charleston Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Evans got some help from Bree Gruse and her 20 assists. Evans also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Caroline Pence, each putting up two.

Charleston Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 22-4-1. As for Roane County, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
