Softball Recap: Corinth Holders Comes Up Short

Corinth Holders fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Hickory Ridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Ragin' Bulls by a score of 3-2. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Corinth Holders saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Gwynn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Corinth Holders' loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Hickory Ridge, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corinth Holders will head out to take on Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickory Ridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Lake Norman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
