Basketball Recap: Heritage Gets the Win

Heritage hadn't done well against Menchville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Heritage Hurricanes walked away with a 69-60 win over the Menchville Monarchs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 74-70 back in December of 2024.

Heritage is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.8 points per game. As for Menchville, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage has already played their next contest (against Petersburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Menchville will face off against Smithfield at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
