Softball Recap: Pisgah Comes Up Short

Pisgah fell victim to Ethel and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pisgah's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Ethel, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Pisgah and Ethel should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Dragons (ranked 32nd) will meet West Lincoln (ranked 151st) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ethel will face off against Leake County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (98 vs. 201).
