Football Recap: Amplus Academy Archers vs. Desert Pines Jaguars
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pinecrest Academy Cadence, Amplus Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Desert Pines Jaguars by a score of 28-18. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Archers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Ashley Galvis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 120 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 39 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Tatianna Kanoa, who picked up 37 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Amplus Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
