Softball Recap: Scott City Takes a Loss

Scott City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-5 to the Kennett Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 10-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Graycie Conklin led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Summer Wagner, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Scott City's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Kennett, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scott City will head out to take on East Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kennett, they will venture away from home to challenge Potosi at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
