Basketball Game Preview: Hudson Falls Tigers vs. Schuylerville Horses

The Hudson Falls Tigers will take on the Schuylerville Horses at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hudson Falls is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Hudson Falls is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Queensbury on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Hudson Falls came up short against Queensbury, falling 53-30. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Spartans are ranked 147th).

Meanwhile, Schuylerville can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against South Glens Falls by a score of 38-30. The Horses' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hudson Falls' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Schuylerville, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 2-10.

Hudson Falls took their victory against Schuylerville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 54-29. Will Hudson Falls repeat their success, or does Schuylerville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
