Recap: Central Christian Comets vs. Lucas Cubs
The Central Christian Comets lost against the Lucas Cubs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Central Christian falling 57-39. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Lucas is ranked seventh).
Logan Toms was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bobby Grover, who scored 10 points.
Central Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Lucas, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Christian will take on Loudonville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lucas is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Danville at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
